Individual Consultancy - Capacity Needs Assessment of Provincial Parliamentarians – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct a desk review of existing training materials, identify existing institutions & training programs for the parliamentarians relevant to law making process;

2. To highlight areas and challenges faced by other stakeholders in imparting similar trainings;

3. To present desk review findings to the working group;

4. To act as a focal person to liaise with institution/organization on development of training materials/manuals;

5. To prepare and endorse SOPs for the Working Group in consultation with the stakeholders;

6. To facilitate the Provincial Assembly  in convening and conducting meeting and maintaining record of the Working Group;

7. To follow up on the action points taken and decisions agreed during the meeting;

8. To prepare work plan for the functioning of the working group;

9. Any other task assigned/mutually agreed

Period of assignment/services (if applicable):                   2 months

UNDP will not assume the responsibility for the misplacement or premature opening of the proposals, when the instructions noted above are not properly followed.

ii. Also note that our system will not accept emails those are more than 3.5 MB size. If required, segregate your emails to accommodate email data restrictions. For segregated emails please use sequence of emails like Email 1 of 3, Email 2 of 3 and so on in the subject line. For attachment purposes please only use MS Word, Excel, Power Point or PDF formats.

If you request additional information, please write to procurement.info@undp.org the team will provide necessary information within due date. However, any delay in providing such information will not be considered a reason for extending the submission date of your quotation.  All/any query regarding the submission of the quotation may be sent prior to the deadline at the e-mail/address mentioned above.

Pakistan's One UN Programme (OP I) was signed on 4 February 2009 in the presence of the UN Secretary General and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Initially for a two-year period from 2009 to 2010, OP I was extended until December 2012 by mutual agreement of the Government of Pakistan and the UN.
