Individual Consultancy - Lead Consultant-Report on National Consultation (2nd Round) on the post 2015 Development Agenda

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completion of desk review of the capacity and institutional constraints in the concepts of MDGs Framework and deriving lessons for post 2015 development agenda- 10 June 2014
  • Completion of stakeholder’s consultations- by  30 June 2014
  • The following three questions could guide the consultation process and the concept note:
    • How could the post 2015 agenda be incorporated in the national and sub national planning processes including localization of post 2015 agenda?
    • What types of statistical capacities will be required to collect and analyze data for periodic reporting and monitoring progress towards the post 2015 agenda?
    • Coordination and partnerships – how could formal platforms for coordination between different stakeholders be established and partnerships developed to promote synergies and avoid overlaps, what could be the roles of different partners including that of the UN to be “fit for the purpose”? 
  • Submission of initial finding s- by 25 July 2014
  • Submission of final report-  by 30 August 2014

Period of assignment/services (if applicable): The consultancy will be based in Islamabad with 30 work days spread over a period starting w.e.f. signing of contract till 30 September 2014

  2. Also note that our system will not accept emails those are more than 3.5 MB size. If required, segregate your emails to accommodate email data restrictions. For segregated emails please use sequence of emails like Email 1 of 3, Email 2 of 3 and so on in the subject line. For attachment purposes please only use MS Word, Excel, Power Point or PDF formats.

If you request additional information, please write to procurement.info@undp.org the team will provide necessary information within due date. However, any delay in providing such information will not be considered a reason for extending the submission date of your quotation.  All/any query regarding the submission of the quotation may be sent prior to the deadline at the e-mail/address mentioned above.

Pakistan's One UN Programme (OP I) was signed on 4 February 2009 in the presence of the UN Secretary General and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Initially for a two-year period from 2009 to 2010, OP I was extended until December 2012 by mutual agreement of the Government of Pakistan and the UN.
