  • Fazal Ali - Restoration of Zora Link Road, District Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa With financial assistance from the Saudi Fund for Development and support from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the project promotes peace building and social cohesion in crisis affected areas through the rehabilitation of community basic infrastructure and to improve access of affected communities to basic services and facilities.

  • New Link Roads Provide Economic Opportunities in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Saudi Fund for Development joined forces in 2011 to create the “Community Infrastructure Restoration and Rehabilitation Project” in six tehsils Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat District Swat and in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). With financial assistance of US$8 million, this project improves and maintains rural roads, resulting in reduced transportation costs for local inhabitants and ultimately promoting the development of the region’s poorest communities.
