Marc-André Franche served as Country Director of UNDP Pakistan during the period 2013–2016. His tenure was marked by an extensive thematic focus on climate change adaptation, crisis prevention and democratic governance. More specifically, his guidance led to extensive debate and policy dialogue on FATA mainstreaming, youth empowerment and electoral reform. He will now serve as Chief, Financing of the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund in the Peacebuilding Support Office in New York. We had a candid conversation with Mr. Franche to talk about his vision for Pakistan when he began his stint, his accomplishments and his reflections at the end of his tenure.
